Tim Hodge MBA, FLMI currently serves as the university’s Associate Vice President for Budget and Financial Planning. In this role he oversees the Office of Budget and Financial Planning, which provides the primary support to university leadership in identifying, obtaining, and allocating the resources needed to achieve the University’s mission, goals, and objectives. The university’s annual operating budget is $2.1 billion in 2023-24. Having been with the university since 1993, he has served Virginia Tech for 30 years.

Tim completed both his B.S. in Finance and Masters of Business Administration. He is a graduate of the University’s Academy of Leadership. Before joining Virginia Tech, he worked in the banking and insurance industries. 

In addition to guest lectures in graduate courses on public finance and the University’s Management Academy, he currently serves as a volunteer finance accreditation reviewer for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and statewide funding committees for higher education in Virginia.
