WHAT WE DO

  • Identify, obtain, and allocate resources needed to achieve the university’s mission and strategic goals and objectives
  • Support decision-making and develop innovative solutions to problems through sound financial management practices and extensive planning
  • Oversee the university’s accounting processes, and develop and maintain active financial relationships with key Commonwealth entities, including the Executive Branch, General Assembly, and other state and regulatory agencies
  • Develop innovative procurement operations
  • Provide credential production, account management, and electronic door access through Hokie Passport Services
  • Enhance university financial and business practices through implementation of new information systems allowing for electronic, paperless services to faculty, staff, and students
